ABOUT THE COURSE

This course is designed to build a solid foundation in the fundamentals of drawing and digital painting, gaining an in-depth understanding of what each one is, why they matter, and how to apply them consciously. Over nine weeks we will work on each fundamental separately, breaking down its principles, analyzing examples, and understanding how they relate to one another to form a solid artistic foundation.
Each class will combine theory, visual analysis, and practical exercises focused on immediately applying the concepts covered. The goal is not only to learn techniques, but also to develop the ability to observe, analyze, and solve visual problems, building an artistic judgment that allows for continued growth independently once the course is over.
Classes will be conducted using Photoshop, as it is the standard software within the illustration, animation, and video game industry. However, all exercises can be done in any digital painting program, since the knowledge acquired is independent of the tool used.
By the end of the course, students will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of drawing and digital painting, along with a study methodology that will allow them to keep improving with clear goals and a defined learning direction.
